We know that as soon as Obama announces his running mate, the Obama logo, and website will be redesigned, and there will probably be a new website reflecting the new ticket.

So, since Obama will probably be naming his pick soon, you would assume the campaign would be looking into buying up domain names. After the flip, see results of my quick website search.

McCain Offends Pivotal State

Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 02:35:47 PM PDT

The strategy worked brilliantly in the Michigan primary against Mitt Romney: tell voters that their jobs are never coming back. That's what John McCain did in Michigan, and lost to Romney pretty soundly. Now he's starting his general election campaign, and doing it again.

Hillary Channels Mitt Romney

Sun Apr 13, 2008 at 03:25:07 PM PDT

It's not enough that she's staying in the race long after remaining a serious candidate while attacking the likely nominee. Now Hillary is channeling Mitt Romney in a pretty striking way:

"You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught me how to shoot when I was a little girl," she said.

"You know, some people now continue to teach their children and their grandchildren. It’s part of culture. It’s part of a way of life. People enjoy hunting and shooting because it’s an important part of who they are. Not because they are bitter."

Freeper Meltdown: Bush 15% Approval Not Far Off?

Sat May 19, 2007 at 08:13:37 PM PDT

Bush has really done it now. You know that 30% of the country that seems to approve of Bush no matter what? The "last third" that "is usually backwash", according to Stephen Colbert? The 30% who would approve of Bush if he set fire to a kitten on live TV?

He lost them.

The immigration proposal will put the put the last nail in the coffin of what remains of the Bush Presidency. His approval rating should soon be in the 20s-if not lower?

Way Bigger Than Tony or Rush

Tue Mar 27, 2007 at 05:04:52 PM PDT

While we've been bickering over whether or not to pray for Tony Snow's cancer, mocking Rush Limbaugh's flaccid penis, and talking about the (more serious) withdrawal date vote, we've been missing a huge story.

Bush may be trying to provoke a war with Iran.

GOP in disarray

Sat Aug 06, 2005 at 09:07:19 AM PDT

The Grand Ol' Party isn't feeling too good these days. Bill "Save Terri" Frist is a babykiller, Rove is under investigation, the President's popularity is at an all-time low, his Social Security scheme is going nowhere, just 38% (read: Republicans) support him on Iraq, and one of the most Republican districts in the country just almost voted for a Democrat.
The question is, will they implode from within (Dobson issuing a fatwah for any candidate straying from the line; or whatever moderates are left cringing and staying at home from Santorum et al) or will we deliver the fatal blow?

Status of 2008 Republican Race

Mon Aug 01, 2005 at 09:24:10 AM PDT

Bill Frist's recent flip-flop really shook up the Republican Presidential race (although why anyone would want a bland zombie like him in the White House is beyond me). Dobson says no to Frist. McCain gives the Christians shivers too. So who is annointed by Rove? Jeb? Or will Rove be irrelevant by then, and the Republican candidate distancing himself from Bush? But who could do that?

GOP 2008: Rudi and Roy?

Fri Jan 28, 2005 at 05:07:08 PM PDT

Rudi Giuliani and Roy Moore?
John McCain?
Jeb "The Ugly One" Bush?
Dr. Bill "Tears May Cause AIDS" Frist?

The possibilities are endless and nightmarish.
The Democrats' best hope is a Giuliani nomination. Without a hardline conservative with him (a la Roy Moore), he would not win the evangelical vote and would be a sure-fire loser. Of course, they probably won't be that dumb. Would America actually vote for a hardcorer like Moore? Quite possibly. Jeb Bush? We aren't that dumb, are we?
McCain wouldn't be so bad, but it's really time for the Democrats to take the White House.

Gore/Obama 2008!

Thu Jan 27, 2005 at 06:25:21 PM PDT

We know Al Gore can win an election. Nixon lost a close one in 60 and came back in 68-same period of time for Gore. Also, since 2000, Gore has grown as a man and as a Democrat.
He did, after all, have the courage and integrity to support Dean.
What does Obama bring? Plenty.
