VP: It's Obvious -- It's Mark Warner (w Poll)
Tue Aug 19, 2008 at 07:53:54 AM PDT
Okay, here's another, I know, I know diary.
But I think there's enough tea leaves out there to suggest Mark Warner will be Obama's VP and make everyone very happy.
Of course, I'm just pulling this out of my you know where (as Markos would say).
We all know the rumors that Obama really always wanted Warner, but Warner turned Obama down. I just don't think you turn down the next President of the United States.
Let's look at the tea leaves:
More Bill O'Reilly Humor

I hate to do a short diary that could rather work as a comment somewhere, but this video is just too good not to get lots of attention as a rec'd diary.

Bill O'Reilly's Producer
A first ever look at the man behind the camera that set off Bill O'Reilly's Inside Edition tirade.
HRC Supporters Only (Poll: Where are you From?)
Sun Dec 02, 2007 at 01:45:51 PM PDT
I'm running a very unscientific poll among us small, progressive followers known as Kossacks.
I want to get a better idea of where ardent Hillary supporters are from.
Here's my hypothesis, dedicated Hillary supporters mostly come from strong blue states.
But why do I care and why would it make a difference...
Cancel the August Recess
Tue Jul 24, 2007 at 04:42:22 PM PDT
I posted the below thoughts as a reply in kos' "Harry is craaaaaaaaazy!" story, but I thought the topic warranted a full scale discussion here as a diary.

If the Republican's newest talking point is that Congress isn't doing enough, then let's keep Congress working all through August.
That would be a nice juxtaposition to seeing Bush chopping wood down in Crawford.
Does Bush Crash the Stock Market on Monday?
Fri Nov 03, 2006 at 05:42:56 AM PDT
Okay, I'm in full tin foil clothing here, but hear me out.
If Bush/Rove think the house and Senate are lost, maybe it would be worth one last hail marry pass to save the election, and save them from many a supeona from John Conyers.
So, if you're like me and you think the 10% market rally since the July low has been artificially manufactured by the likes of Goldman Sachs, the Treasury, the Fed, and maybe even China doing the Treasury a favor for the Treasury not designating China as a Trade Manipulator, then you can easily believe that these same groups can orchestrate a market crash on Monday.
Bush and Rove can't "let" a terrorist attack occur because that would hurt the Republicans even worse as it would make them look weak on homeland security.
But the stock market crashing may be something else. The market can't crash more than 20% without being halted, so the carnage could be limited.
But the Republicans could spin this to win the election by scaring voters by saying, "Vote for us and the market will go back up. Vote for them and the market will continue to crash."
More below the fold.
$100,000 for Election Fraud
Sat Oct 14, 2006 at 11:27:31 AM PDT
Okay, I'm not saying we should pay $100,000 for people to rig the election. But offering a $100,000 reward for each and every occurance of major election fraud that leads to an arrest and conviction might put a damper on the plans of the right.
The Republicans are great at setting up strawmen to attack Democrats.
It's time for the Democrats to play the same game.
The DNC needs to release a set of talking points for the remaining three weeks setting up a strawman around planned vote manipulation by conservatives.
It's About the American People, Stupid
Sun Jun 18, 2006 at 08:47:41 PM PDT
There's been a lot of talk around here lately and in regards to Frank Rich's column this weekend about policy versus ideas. May I suggest that we need to focus on one simple to understand brand and message.
It's about the American People, Stupid
It's not about:
Lawmakers
Corporations
Lobbyists
Pharmaceuticals
Big Oil
The Defense Industry
The Iraq people
The Mexican people
It's about THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
It's about (more below):
